Coming back from a defeat the year before, the Crimson Tide blew the Tigers out of the water. Players Butch Avinger, Ed Salem, Bobby Marlow & Tom Calvin were the "big horses in the backfield" who led their team to a 1950 Iron Bowl victory.
Herb Hannah (#76) took a hit while running back Bobby Marlow (#32) flew over Auburn players as he carried the ball toward the end zone.
