Description
Auburn 49 | Alabama 26
This was the year that Auburn would finally put an end to Bama’s winning tradition they had going with them for the previous five years. Pat Sullivan, the Tigers’ star QB, really shone on this day. It was also a record-setting game — Auburn’s 49 points were the most put on Bama since Sewanee in 1907. The Tide played a good game, but Auburn’s defense is what made the difference.
AU’s linebacker Mike Kolen (#54) tackles Bama’s QB, Scott Hunter (#12) knocking the ball free.
