Alabama was up 17-0 in the first quarter, but from that moment Auburn stepped up and started putting points on the board. The lead swapped back and forth several times. The Tigers battled Bama for six turnovers, four interceptions and two lost fumbles. Terry Beasley starred with nine receptions, and Pat Sullivan threw two touchdowns for the victory.
