Description
Alabama 25 | Auburn 18
It was one tackle made by Jeremiah Castille with the help of teammate Don McNeal that saved the game for the Tide. Had Castille let running back James Brooks, one of the fastest in the nation, continue his sprint down the field, a TD coupled with a two-point conversion would have won it for the Tigers. Quarterback Steadman Shealy admitted that the fumbles he had in the third quarter were what made the game so close, giving Auburn an 18-17 lead. The 18 points scored by Auburn were the most points scored on Bama all season.
Dwight Stephenson (#57), one of the best blocking centers of the game, blocks for QB Steadman Shealy (#10) as he makes a play to score for the Tide.
