Partners with Bear & Shug

In 1995, The Bryant-Jordan Student Athlete Scholarship Foundation initiated a fund-raising drive called "Partners with Bear and Shug." Its purpose was to complete the funding of a self-perpetuating trust from which scholarships could be awarded annually to deserving high-school seniors throughout Alabama. The Foundation commissioned Artist Daniel A. Moore to create a painting that would be symbolic of the program. Limited Edition prints from the painting were given to the corporate and individual partners who each gave $50,000 to the cause.
