Description
Sweet Sixteen
Original Oil Painting by Daniel A. Moore
Sweet Sixteen commemorates Alabama's incredible run for the 2015 National Championship. In this masterwork the artist merged his first two prints from the 2015 season, Finish! and The Washout, to create this dynamic piece!
Included in the Sweet Sixteen montage are vignetted highlights from the 2015 season depicting:
(1) the Tide defense led by Jarran Reed and Reggie Ragland, as it shuts down LSU's then-Heisman-Trophy candidate Leonard Fournette;
(2) the eventual Heisman Trophy winner, Derrick Henry against Georgia, from The Washout;
(3) Cyrus Jones' timely interception against Michigan State in the College Football Playoff Semi-Final Game;
(4) Jake Coker's sensational passing game, also from the CFP Semi-Final (detail shown above);
(5) Kicker Adam Griffith as he watches Marlon Humphrey cradle his perfectly-placed onside kick; and
(6) Kenyan Drake as he "finishes" his 95-yard kickoff return — both from the CFP Championship Game; — and
(7) Coach Nick Saban, donning a National Championship smile in celebration of his team's perfect Finish!
Daniel A. Moore's body of work, generated from a life-long labor of love, has grown well into the millions of dollars in created value. His fine art prints have been collected by art lovers across the U.S. and in several foreign countries. But above all, his fine art limited edition prints have become treasured heirlooms of his alma mater's faithful.
For each of his major releases the artist spends hundreds of hours and even 1,000+ hours in creating the original oil painting — the all-important masterwork for a fine art print production. Beginning in 1979, with the sale of The Goal Line Stand for $10,000, his subsequent masterworks have sold for up to $80,000. In recent years the artist's original oils – each typically measuring 36" x 48" – have been certifiably appraised to establish fair market prices for up to $239,000 for The Tradition Continues ($1,870/sq. in.).
This original oil painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is framed in a thick brown paneled frame with ornate gold edging, a black linen liner and brass title plate (as shown).
