On December 1, 1988 the Crimson Tide faced off to the Aggies at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas. Derrick Thomas’ outstanding performance on this day helped lead the Tide to victory. Third & Long depicts Derrick Thomas (#55) sacking quarterback Lance Pavlas in the fourth quarter. Thomas set the Alabama’s all-time record for Most Sacks in this game with a total of five, a record which still stands today. The final score read Alabama 30, Texas A&M 10.
